I still wait for my custom Decalsheets to give the Tanks the "Irish Guard"-Look.
The most Tanks used for Operation "Garden" were Shermans but there were Cromwell Platoons too. And because i love the look of the Cromwell Tank i decided to build a Cromwell Platoon first. (a Sherman Tank Platoon with Firefly support is one of my next projects...) All Modells are from Armourfast/Hat and they all were customized with Green Stuff and Resinparts.
As you can see, there´s still work to do.... I have to "upgrade" the Tracks of the Firefly, some hatches and commanders are still missing and there still a few paintings to apply.
Heute habe ich mein Cromwell Tank Platoon für "Behind Omaha" fast fertig bekommen. (Es ist auch nutzbar für "Rapid Fire") Ich warte noch immer auf meine Custom Decals um den Panzern den "Irish Guard"-Look zu verpassen. Die meisten bei der Operation "Garden" eingesetzten Panzer waren zwar Shermans aber es gab auch Cromwell Platoons. Da ich das Aussehen des Cromwell toll finde entschied ich mich zuerst ein Platoon aus ihnen zusammenzustellen. (Ein Sherman Platoon mit Firefly Unterstützung ist eines meiner nächsten Projekte für meine "Irish Guards")
Alle Modelle sind von Armourfast/Hat und sie wurden alle mit Resinteilen und Greenstuff aufgepeppt.
Wie man sehen kann ist noch einiges zu tun: Die Ketten des Firefly müssen noch aufgewertet werden, einige Luken, MG´s und Kommandanten fehlen noch und hier und da muss noch etwas Farbe ran..
