First Works under new Label

Hello,

after a very long Time full of planning and preperations now the Time has come.....

WikingPaintworks now becomes an "official" Paintstudio! So are some profound Changes associated, like renaming, reorganisation, create new  Web presences and Stuff like that....

As long my new Website is under construction, my new Facebooksite serves as a Presentation Area for allready finnished Commissions.

Winterdressed Marder II

Hello Folks and Followers...

Today i want to share with you some Pictures of my first Marder II in "Winterdress".

This is one of the excellent Kits from MK72, a real pleasure to build! Very accurate and very detailled. In my oppinion, this is the best Marder II Model availiable. 

To let this little beauty fit to my winterdressed Forces i applied a faded and used white coat. I just drybrushed the Parts of the Model with an Medium and small sized Brusch up and down. First with Vallejo "Offwhite" and Finally with pure "White". Some scratches and streaks of oil and soot were applied later to create a used look.

I´m still undecided in which way i´ll finish the Tracks and the lower Body of the Marder. I´m pending between "wet" Muddy look by using pigmented acrylic paste followed by some gloss Varnish or "Dry" Mud Look by using several Pigments...  

I´m open for every Idea, so if you want... just drop me a Line! ^^

Wiking´s "Wiking" - SdKfz 251/9 Ausf. C

Today i finished the first Vehicle for my ongoing Wargaming Forces of the "Wiking", a SdKfz 251/9 Ausf. C, called either "Stummel" oder "Kanonenwagen".

The Kit is from Revell ( a wonderfull Model with many nice Details...) and the Miniature was taken out of  the SS Commandset from SHQ Miniatures.

As allways the whole Model was painted with Vallejo Acrylics and some GW Washes. The Pigments for the Snow are from Vallejo ("Titanium White" - from the "Earth and Oxide Set Nr. 4" ), The Grass is from Gale Force Nine.

Wiking´s "Wiking" on the way.....

after a long Time i decided to create another Type of my wargaming-"Wiking"... These Time they will be dressed in Winterclothing, the Vehicles will be painted with Wintercamo and so on.....

The first Base is finished....
A LIG (leichtes Infanteriegeschütz) 18. There will follow another 2 of these Guns as Supprt for my Infantry.

The LIG is from HäT ( i actually don´t have one of the superb Pegasus Guns) and also the Figures. But ich swapped the Heads because the HäT´s Faces are more than cruel.... So i used 2 Caesar Heads out of my Bitsbox.

As allways all is painted with Vallejo Model Colours and some GW Washes.
